Currently, Jamea al Kauthar in conjunction with the University of Cumbria have established a degree programme for Muslim sisters aiming to go into higher education.

Initially, a BA Honours in English Language and Literature is being offered.

The University of Cumbria offers a very high quality of learning experience in a supportive environment, which enables students to achieve their maximum potential. It is committed to a level of education which is innovative, flexible and student centred, and which utilises the latest technology.

Features will include:

• The course will run for 3 years in an Islamic environment
• Free accommodation for the first year
• All teachers will be female
• Seminars will run at Jamea al Kauthar
• Up to £2,700 Government funding is available.

Entry Requirements:

• 1 A level (inclusive of languages such as Urdu, Arabic etc).

Jamea al Kauthar currently also offers a 5/6 year Alima course, Tahfeezul Quran programme & a two year course in Islamic studies, with provision to acquire GCSE & A level qualifications.
