Below are a sample of enrichment activities in which students at Jamea have taken part.
Visit from The High Sheriff
On the 2nd March 2016, we hosted The High Sheriff of Lancashire, Amanda Parker JP at our school. The visit consisted of a tour of the school with opportunities for The High Sheriff to engage in conversations with our students, discussing significant ideas such as the role of the monarchy in contemporary society. Her visit was concluded with a light tea taken with the Head-teacher and senior members of staff.
Jamea hosted its 12th Annual Conference for the public, a main event in the calendar which all students attended and in which some participated. Students enjoyed the full day with hundreds of visitors milling around, and learnt about a variety of topics such as mutual tolerance, respect for elders and the importance of forgiveness.
