Taleemul Haq
This is a basic Hanafi textbook on the laws of purity, salat, death and burial, pilgrimage, etc, used widely throughout the Islamic schools of England. It is an excellent book for the beginners of fiqh, explaining the simplest yet most essential of masaail in an orderly manner. Each section also concludes with a set of related questions which is a great recap for the students, and effective means of assessment for the teacher.

Das Sabaq
Categorised into ten small, yet detailed chapters written in Urdu, this book is a great essential for Arabic beginners. The studying of the Arabic language and grammar is known as ‘Ilm-un Nahw and the Arabic language is perfected and completed when it is combined with ‘Ilm-us Sarf. This famous compilation is a combination of both and is well known for its effectiveness throughout the globe. It contains new vocabulary at the end of each chapter, and relevant exercises to asses the student’s ability.
The objective of this knowledge is so that an individual is able to connect words in the Arabic language, thus constructing and forming sentences. Additionally, its knowledge will aid the student to refrain from grammatical mistakes and give awareness of the ‘Harkaat’ that will be placed on the final letter of each word. This book is primarily based on the rules of Arabic language and grammar known as ‘Ilm-un Nahw. Muin U Tajweed
This kitaab explains the Science of Intonation, as the recitation of the Holy Qur’an is governed by this very Science. The kitaab comprises two main sections:
1. Haroof (letters), which is concerned with pronunciation of letters correctly from their place of origin, with their correct qualities.
2. Waqoof (pausing/stopping), which is concerned with the rules of where and how to pause or stop as well as where and how to resume.
The kitaab allows students to determine the full, smooth and balanced pronunciation whilst helping them pause in context of each letter and syllable. This is fundamental as being necessary and minimum according to respect of the revealed Word of Allah.

Packed in one volume this book covers the life of the Muhammad Peace be upon him, written in beautiful expression. Many scholars have recommended this Urdu publication due to its straightforward yet highly informative and appealing content.
It begins with mention of the times before the Prophets birth, reflecting on the conditions as they prevailed. It then explains the Prophet's birth and his upbringing as an orphan. The surroundings, his journey with Abu Talib, his marriage and the very first revelation soon follow. Then pursue the sequence of events, the uphill task of the Prophet and his few companions, His Mi'raj and migration to Madina and the growth of Islam and liberation of Makkah. We also read the redeeming Umrah and well known farewell Hajj. Ending with His final illness and passing away.
A highly beneficial kitaab for those that are new to the Seerah and history of the final Prophet of Allah (Peace be upon him)

Mualim Sarf
Arabic Morphology is a branch of Arabic grammar dealing with word forms and patterns. Acquiring an understanding of word patterns is of prime importance in learning the language. If a student were to study this book thoroughly, he would develop a very good foundation of this science and it would absolve him of the need to study any other book on the subject.

Zaad ut Taalibeen
Zad-ut-Talibeen is a collection of Ahadith meant to teach both Hadith and Arabic grammar. Used widely in darul-ulooms, this work is taught by many around the world as a first Hadith work. It includes Urdu translation and commentary with tarkeeb (grammatical analysis) of all Ahadith, and also includes complete references of the Ahadith.
It comprises 327 Ahadith compiled by the author Shaykh 'Ashiq Ilahi and contains many jawami' al-kalim, i.e. pithy language that expresses a multitude of meanings in few words. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was given exceptional oratorical skills; His words were eloquent, comprehensive, and simple, conveying libraries of wisdoms and truths. It also includes prophecies, other accounts and narratives.
The book is ultimately meant to inspire the souls of the students and give them a glimpse at the charisma of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and a roadmap with which they can achieve closeness to their Lord, as "The science of Hadith is the noblest means of attaining closeness to the Lord of the Worlds"

Safatul Masadir
An absolutely invaluable work of classical Arabic; this book comprises the most popular verbs and nouns one would come across in classical Arabic study. All verbs are set out in their relevant categories (Bab Nasara Yansuru, Bab Daraba Yadribu, etc) in order to familiarise the student with the verb scales and sufficient examples are included for each.
Each verb is presented in its root (masdar), past (madi), present/future (mudari'), imperitive (amr), and prohibitive (nahy) forms, all accompanied by an Urdu translation.
Students are required to memorise the verbs in this book with their meanings, which blesses them with an extensive working vocabulary for understanding traditional Arabic texts.

This is a classic book of Arabic grammar that was written by its author as a simple beginner book on the subject. However despite it being a beginner’s book, it is very comprehensive and is taught in many Islamic madaris and schools around the world. The main text of the book is in Arabic but also includes detailed gloss in Persian on the margins for those who can benefit. Every lesson is followed with a summary, comprehension questions, and exercises to reinforce the lesson.
